The extension of the partnership agreement between Giorgio Armani and CONI was signed today. EA7 Emporio Armani is confirmed as the official outfitter of the Italian Olympic team until September 2022.

EA7 Emporio Armani will therefore dress the Italia Team not only at the Tokyo Olympic Games, scheduled to take place from the coming 23rd July to 8th August, and for which the uniforms were already presented on 15th June 2019, but also at the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, scheduled from 4th to 20th February 2022.

This is the continuation of the collaboration between Giorgio Armani and CONI, which first started at the London 2012 Olympic Games and continued with the Sochi 2014 Winter Games, the Rio 2016 Summer Games and the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Games.

“I am proud to renew this agreement with CONI, a long-standing collaboration, at this very moment. The values of loyalty, commitment, dedication and teamwork are an expression of the highest human qualities in any field. Sport also has the good fortune of conveying such an important message to the wider public, which makes this agreement truly crucial. The Tokyo Olympic Games promises to be a moment of rebirth, and I will be happy to take part as the official outfitter of our national team,” said Giorgio Armani. “Pairing the image of CONI and the Italia Team with Armani for two more years is the best news we could give to leave 2020 behind us and to look to the future with joy and peace of mind.” “I would like to personally thank Giorgio Armani, to whom I am linked by a long-standing friendship, who wanted to prolong this partnership that will allow us to win the gold medal for elegance even before we start competing. Tokyo will mark the start of a new era in sport, and knowing that we have a brand like Armani by our side makes us proud of our Italian spirit,” commented Giovanni Malagò. (Photo Mezzelani GMT Sport)
