Marathon, first Italian passes for the Olympic Games: Yaremchuk and Epis qualified

First individual Italian passes for Paris 2024 in the marathon.

According to the Road to Paris 24 ranking, Sofiia Yaremchuk (photo FIDAL) has secured participation in the Olympic Games in the French capital. Her time of 2:23:16 in Valencia (Spain) on 3 December was decisive.

Alongside her is Giovanna Epis, who recorded a time of 2:23:46 in Hamburg (Germany) on 23 April.

For Yaremchuk it will be the first Olympics of her career, while Epis made her Olympic debut in Tokyo 2020, finishing the marathon in 32nd position.
